Hi! I’m Becca Wood and I live in Utah. I’ve lived here my whole life. I am married and have three teenage kids. I currently spend most of my time supporting my children in their various sporting events. I have always loved sports and still play coed softball with my husband and good friends (including Matt, Cheryl & Liz). In my free time, I enjoy camping, reading, and playing board games…and planning family trips! I love to travel! Luckily, I have been able to travel to many places throughout the world and I can’t wait to see more.
Hi, I’m Liz and I live in Utah with my husband and 3 kids. We have also lived in Montana and Southern California. I love reading, spending time with friends, playing softball, listening to true crime podcasts, and traveling all over the world. I have loved all my trips but I especially love adventurous spots like Costa Rica and Belize. I spend a lot of my time supporting my kids in their sports and musical performances and I love watching them do what they love.
Hi, I’m Brandi, and I recently relocated to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. I love exploring and logging my adventures to help others have a great visit to the state I now call home. I enjoy hiking around the hills in the summer and reading by the fire in the cold snowy winter months.
I live here with my husband and two daughters. I have a son, daughter-in-law, and grandbaby who live in Ogden Utah.
Hi! My name is Linnea and I write about Glacier National Park for We’re in the Rockies. I grew up spending the school year in Indiana and the summer in Glacier with my parents who split the year as teachers and park rangers. I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend every summer of my life in the most beautiful place in the world! Surely I am not biased…
I have worked in interpretation in Glacier for over a decade and it makes me so happy to teach people about the spectacular flora, fauna, geology, and history of the place that means so much to me. When I am not in Glacier, I live in Kalispell, Montana where I enjoy hiking, climbing, hunting, mountain biking, and skiing. It’s a beautiful life!
My name is Barb Boyer Buck and I’ve lived at the doorstep of Rocky Mountain National Park for the past 25 years. I am a professional journalist, photographer, blogger, and magazine editor. In my writing, I focus on the benefits and responsibilities of recreating on public lands, especially Rocky Mountain. For We’re in the Rockies, I strive to present a local perspective on this beautiful National Park, including tips and tricks for getting the most out of your visit. I graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Anthropology and I wrote, directed, and produced two plays: one about Estes Park (The Impossible Paradise, 2014) and the other about Rocky Mountain National Park (Paradise Protected, 2015) in honor of Rocky Mountain’s 100th anniversary. I live in Estes Park with my cat, Percy, and have one adult son who is a recent graduate of Colorado State University. I love the mountains, getting outdoors, traveling (especially road trips), and hiking!”
Hey, I’m Kareem, a website designer for Wasatch Websites, with 4 years of experience, and I absolutely love what I do! When I’m not crafting beautiful online experiences, I’m hitting the gym, staying focused and disciplined. One of my favorite projects so far has been the “We’re in the Rockies” website since working with Matt and Cheryl is an absolute blast.
Hi, we are Dave and Linda and have been married for over 50 years. We have 3 children with spouses and 10 grandchildren. My husband Dave is a retired General Contractor owning his own custom home and cabin business. When our children were young he volunteered with Scouts and coached many sports. Now in his spare time, he takes care of his family and friends with their many home maintenance and construction needs. He also has a small hobby farm where he has many animals and gives private tours.
As for me, Linda, after retiring from a long career in management and finance with the government, I am very busy with volunteer work including the Sub for Santa program, Weber County as a voting Poll Manager, and the Weber County Fair. My other interests are the many ladies’ clubs I am involved in where I am the historian/photographer including ARTS International, BookEnz book club, and Girls of ’67 High School Lunch. I also enjoy going to lunch and playing pickleball in the summer with friends.
In addition to this, Dave and I love to travel. We have been on many cruises, and bus tours and have been to 220 out of 426 National Parks in the US.
