Oregon

Oregon is wild, green, and full of nature lovers. The western half of the state is the most visited half, containing mossy forests, rugged coastline, pristine beaches, and lots of waterfalls. Move inland a bit to the Willamette Valley for green pastures (the end of the Oregon Trail), and outdoorsy towns like Bend. Go east of the Cascade mountains and you’ll encounter more of the “Western” vibe, with high desert plains, painted hills, and cowboy towns like Pendleton. Farther South, Crater Lake sparkles inside an ancient volcano – impossibly blue and impossibly deep. The Columbia River Gorge slices through the Cascade Mountains, forming the border between Oregon and Washington. It’s full of waterfalls, fun activities, and fruit farms. Portland is the main airport, and it adds its quirky urban energy. Mount Hood towers above all of Oregon, its tallest point at over 11,000 feet.

Oregon has only one national park, but its entire coastline, spanning 363 miles, is public land available for our benefit and is worthy of national park status. Beaches, waterfalls, fruit farms, volcanoes, and fun small towns – you’ve got a lot of amazing options in Oregon.
