What We Do

We strive to help you travel successfully by sharing our experiences and giving tips through:

What We Don’t Do

We are NOT TRAVEL AGENTS. We don’t book accommodations or make reservations for you.

Our Focus

Every traveler is different: Some travelers are hikers, some are adventure seekers, some are foodies, and some want luxury and relaxation.

When we travel, we like variety. Partly this is because we travel with three generations: Us, our kids, and our parents. We’re always balancing the needs and interests of multiple ages and interests.

This is how we approach our travel guides: a balanced variety for first-timers. Visiting Grand Teton? You must go river rafting. Visiting Moab, Utah? You must do a Jeep tour. Unable to spend the money on some of these activities? We provide free or cheap alternatives such as hiking or scenic drives.

Our Philosophy

We feel in order to give travel advice you have to ….. travel!

Because our mission involves covering the entire American West, we hire writers who live and travel in the West. We look for travelers, then train them to be writers. We want you to know that you’re getting advice from people who have actually been there.

Our Values

Travel is important to us because it expands our horizons, gets us outdoors, gets us moving, educates us, and helps us meet other people from all over the world.

We are extremely grateful to live in a world where average people like us have the means and the technology to learn about, then travel to, places that our ancestors could only dream about.

We believe travel is good for the mind, body, and spirit. It’s the best education there is, and we think tourists are some of the most educated people we’ve met. We’re proud to call ourselves tourists, and we love meeting other tourists.

What We Cover

Our goal is to cover the American West. This primarily includes the Rocky Mountain states of Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, and Montana. We will expand into others, such as California, Oregon, Washington, and New Mexico as we are able to.

We really love the National Parks, but there are so many other wonderful places to visit in the West that we cover as well.
