5/5
“Your itinerary was fantastic! The directions and suggestions allowed us to maximize our time in the park. It helped us stay organized and see the attractions. We saw Old Faithful, Great Fountain, and plenty of small geysers. It helped us visit the busier places at the right times.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Certainly! If you’re visiting for fewer days, just pick the days that interest you most — each day works as a stand-alone day. If you have 5 days to visit, follow the itinerary in the order presented.

Not at all! You can enter RMNP from a the east or the west. We have each entrance covered. Simply reorder the days as needed.

We design our itineraries for first-time visitors — those who want to see the best of an area. We don’t want you “missing out” on famous attractions! But we also place a high value on variety. So we might recommend a hike, followed by a drive to rest up. We also recommend activities outside the park to provide variety, such as shopping, restaurants, and other fun activities. We consider many different things when designing each day. We always provide backup options if you can’t hike much.

We travel as a family of 6, and often with our retired parents, so our guides are always family-friendly. If you’re looking to backpack into the backcountry of the park, you won’t find that in our guides. We always consider accessibility, variety, and fun activities.

Our itineraries are extremely detailed. If we tell you to do a scenic drive, we will tell you where to stop for the best views and, when necessary, give you some historical background. If we tell you to go to a popular location, we will cover parking tips. For hikes we include accessibility, terrain, and elevation gain.

Yes, with limitations. RMNP is open in winter, but the Trail Ridge Road is not. You can still visit the east or west side using our guide, but many services are closed. We do not cover the logistics of visiting RMNP in winter.

Yes!! We update our guides as needed, but write the concepts to intentionally be as timeless as possible. We encourage you to purchase the guide as soon as you know you will be traveling. It will help you determine which areas to stay and how many days to obtain lodging. Upon purchase, you’ll be guided to create an account on our website. If we update the guide, it will automatically show in your account for up to 18 months after purchase.

Because we think that’s how many days you need to see the best of Rocky Mountain NP.

It is not required, but is HIGHLY recommended. We encourage you to create an account when purchasing the guides because you’ll have access to the links at any time.

You will have access to the updated guide through your account (another reason to create an account) for up to 18 months.
