At We’re in the Rockies, we believe in preservation and donate 5% of the proceeds of your purchase to Zion to ensure access and enjoyment to future generations.
Our itinerary works if you’re visiting Zion for one, two, or three days. Our plan is adjustable based on your shuttle ticket times. It also includes options for those wishing to hike less but still get the Zion experience.
You can’t fail with our easy to follow instructions including destinations, arrival times and 30 images and maps to keep you on course. Plus, our gear recommendations to crush Zion hikes.
We give you the secrets to getting your shuttle reservation and the best stops in the Canyon.
Angels Landing, The Narrows, Kolob, Mt. Carmel and more are all part of the plan, including some treasures that are local favorites.
Find your heavenly place on some of the less visited but equally beautiful hikes and sites of Southern Utah.
We give you detailed maps, and step by step instructions for parking, renting gear and and taking the shuttle.

This guide contains 6 half day activities including hikes and sights. If you are wanting some down time, this will work. However, if you are wanting to experience more of Zion and Southern Utah, we recommend our 4-5 day Zion itinerary (coming soon). At We’re in the Rockies, we believe there is a lot more to the Zion experience than you can do in 3 days so we created an extended Zion itinerary with even more hikes, sights and activities. Plus, it works great if Zion is part of a bigger road trip.
The itinerary — in PDF format and Word format — is available immediately upon purchase, right on this webpage. You will also receive an email with download links in case you need to revisit the links and download the items later.
The itinerary is in both PDF format and word format. The PDF format is better for printing. The word format is better for importing to google docs, which works on any smartphone or tablet. It formats it to fit your phone, so it’s easier to read on a phone than a PDF file is.
If you have any issues, reach out to us at mattandcheryl@wereintherockies.com. We’ll help you out.
Anyone who wants to get a good overall experience of Zion and do the famous hikes see some beautiful scenery. Plus, some local favorites. Our guide assumes you can hike 5-10 miles a day with some accommodations to make it less for those who don’t want to hike as much. We include the mileage and terrain of each stop.
With a few adjustments, yes. You can drive your car into Zion Canyon November- February so that can make it easier to navigate the park. You will also need to rent different rental gear to hike The Narrows. Lastly, always be aware of the weather conditions. We do not recommend Angel’s Landing if the trail is wet or icy.
