5/5
"I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful suggestions! You made our trip so much easier! Lots of things could’ve gone wrong....but thankfully nothing did. We saw some people struggling when we got there (like at The Narrows with flip flops, waiting at the visitor center asking about the shuttles, asking about parking, etc). Your info made us look like we were experts! Thank you for being so incredibly generous with your wealth of information."

Our itinerary also includes an AUDIO TOUR!

Listen While You Drive.

Listen to stories while you drive. The itinerary tells you when to listen to the audio tour.

Zion 101, without the homework

Learn about how Zion became a national park, ways people have died in Zion, Treasure hunting near Zion, and why Southern Utah is called “Little Hollywood.”

Like Having Your Own Private Tour Guide.

Our Zion Canyon audio guide has over one and a half hours of stories and information about Zion Canyon and Southern Utah, as told my Matt, a history professor.

What Makes Us Different.

Most audio guides give you a few tidbits. We focus on the most fascinating stories about the park.

Frequently Asked Questions

This guide contains 6 half day activities including hikes and sights. If you are wanting some down time, this will work. However, if you are wanting to experience more of Zion and Southern Utah, we recommend our 4-5 day Zion itinerary (coming soon). At We’re in the Rockies, we believe there is a lot more to the Zion experience than you can do in 3 days so we created an extended Zion itinerary with even more hikes, sights and activities. Plus, it works great if Zion is part of a bigger road trip.

The itinerary and audio guide are available immediately upon purchase, right on this webpage. You will also receive an email within 30 minutes with download links in case you need to revisit the links and download the items later. If you don’t receive your email, check your junk mail folder. If it’s not there, contact mattandcheryl@wereintherockies.com and we’ll be in touch with you within 1 business day.

The itinerary is in both PDF format and word format. The PDF format is better for printing. The word format is better for importing to google docs, which works on any smartphone or tablet. It formats it to fit your phone, so it’s easier to read on a phone than a PDF file is.

If you have any issues, reach out to us at mattandcheryl@wereintherockies.com. We’ll help you out.

Anyone who wants to get a good overall experience of Zion and do the famous hikes see some beautiful scenery. Plus, some local favorites. Our guide assumes you can hike 5-10 miles a day with some accommodations to make it less for those who don’t want to hike as much. We include the mileage and terrain of each stop.

With a few adjustments, yes. You can drive your car into Zion Canyon November- February so that can make it easier to navigate the park. You will also need to rent different rental gear to hike The Narrows. Lastly, always be aware of the weather conditions. We do not recommend Angel’s Landing if the trail is wet or icy.

Yes!! Although we update our guides as needed, the concepts how to view each park are meant to be timeless. We encourage you to purchase the guide as soon as you know you will be traveling. It will help you determine which areas to stay and how many days to obtain lodging. As you approach leaving for your trip, you are welcome to email us to see if there is a more current version of the guide and we would be happy to send a link for a download, free of charge.

We are considering Zion and Bryce in June—How many days do the Zion & Bryce Multi-Day Guides cover?
